Meet the 2025 Garden Designers: Linda McKeown – Make-A-Wish Ireland Garden

Are you looking forward to Bord Bia Bloom 2025? Well get extra excited as we begin to unveil this year’s show garden designers! Meet our first designer, Linda McKeown, who will be collaborating with Make-A-Wish Ireland on their garden.

Make-A-Wish Ireland transforms the lives of children living with critical illness by granting them their wishes, this will provide hope, joy, a sense of belonging and respite from illness and treatment and will create lasting memories for them, their families and their communities. The Make-A-Wish Ireland garden is modern and naturalistic and an accessible space, the garden offers a sensory experience through colour, scent, texture and sound. Concentric circular shapes are the main design element within the garden, the circle is a metaphor for embrace, safety and support. The choice of materials and planting create a magical feel within the garden, the space reflects the hope and joy that Make- A-Wish Ireland brings to children and their families. A ‘Wish Wall’ will be incorporated at the garden entrance, allowing the Make-A-Wish Ireland representatives and recipients to interact with visitors at the show and to tell their story.
