Melanie Hand Design Jewellery is a company who make upcycling a priority. The main materials Melanie uses are recycled fabrics; offcuts from her former Dress Design Business; recycled clothes from secondhand shops. She upcycles offcuts and scraps of Liberty Fabric and ribbons; recycled old watches, which have no chance of ever working again, gifted to Melanie by her local watch repair business; bicycle inner tyre tubes, rescued from the bins of local bicycle repair shops. Recently Melanie started to dry and preserve flowers. She is pleased to launch her Dried and Preserved Flower Collection, which will be fully ready for sale at Bloom.

We create unique colourful designs strongly influenced by nature with lots of colour. We have a strong emphasis on gender neutral clothing and comfort. Our clothes are made from top quality organic cotton jersey which washes well, wears well and stands the test of time allowing our clothes to be passed on. We believe children & babies should be comfortable in the clothes they wear, unrestricted in their movements and explorations and inspired when they see their colourful outfits. We have a large returning customer base who shop with us as they know they will get lots of wear out of our clothes and they are reassured that they are making a good choice for their childs delicate skin and at the same time the planet. We proudly design, cut and sew our products here in Ireland in small batches avoiding waste and mass production.
